Wouldn't that imply that Transformers are organic? Shouldn't they turn into Ceruleans, if they are entirely composed of inorganic material?
I might be overthinking this though, I'm ok with letting it slide, just for the sake of cute girls~ :3
Depends on what you mean by "organic". They aren't carbon-based, but they ARE living things - not even robots really; ever since Beast Wars retconned things they've been energy beings wearing a robot like armor/life support systems.

Yeah, that's basically it. Their "sparks" are what's actually alive and the robot bodies are just physical shells that move the sparks around. That's why it's really hard to kill any one Transformers unless you jab it in the chest, it's spark.
I wouldn't question Transformers becoming Friends. Especially not when humanized versions of. among other things, ocean ships have been popular for quite a while.
Actually, I think Starscream is a "friend" who is very, VERY bad at betrayal.
I've come to believe that the only reason Megatron let Starscream live was the same reason I don't get mad at my cats for trying to bat at or bite my socked feet - I'm never in any real danger outside of slight annoyance. Plus, his constant attempts to drag others into his schemes help bring to light where everyone else's loyalties lie.
