On the negative side, it's another Classic. Not a bad thing, but I just wish Capcom use the other series as well.
On the positive side, we actually get a new Megaman game, which means that Capcom still remember the blue guy. And it not being another 8-bit game shows that they're willing to move it to another level (maybe), so a new game for the other series might not be impossible.
They're no longer nostalgia grabbing, but it looks like they're still going to use the same old game design formula that's been around since the 80's. I see this as capcom testing the waters as an interest check for the series.
How well it does is probably going to influence what they do and how far they're willing to go with future games of the series.
