Wasn't (and still isn't) sure what it is though. From post #3407502 it looks like it's made out of cloth, and there's definitely lace trimming at the bottom part. Sort of looks like Alice Margatroid's hairband, except somehow split in half and weirdly worn on the temples with the cloth part sticking out perpendicularly.
Of course, now that you mention it, it could be an elaborate barrette with the cloth part being supported by a wire frame underneath.

Well, the problem with extremely specific tags is that only a couple taggers are going to think to realize tags like "vermilion ascot" even exist and properly tag them even if there were more than one character who had such a tag anyway. That was why they were flattened down to just ascot and red_neckwear. (And that's if people recognize what an ascot is... and then there's fights over whether something is a twintail or a two-side up...)
