Hmmm... I wonder what rules this would be breaking according to the approver?
I was more curious about the reason to create a "samara chan" tag when it's just Yamamura Sadako's name in the western version... but since all of the images under this tag got deleted, I suppose it doesn't matter anymore.

@Ghost_H Honestly, all (but one) of the artist images have been deleted for some reason or another by a claim of breaking some rule or another. No idea what rule though, and the number of approvers inspecting their works is also unusual (for how short time ago the images were uploaded).
My guess is that the artist themselves uploaded the work on danbooru and their art is currently being contested. If not, many of the images *should be* appealed as decent number of the art does reach danbooru's quality standards.
I cringed when I saw that original tag on top of that layercake but decided not to give it attention by ignoring it. Funny how all these new artists are waifuing up all these old characters like the guy who decided the little werewolf girl from scooby doo was his personal calling. I watched that when it came out while I was still in diapers so, double-U tee eff mate.

Now that you mention, another thing that I wondered for a while is "why the 'Uploader' isn't shown in the image's informations anymore?". Now regarding this artist's images vs Danbooru's quality standard, I can't say anything, since I don't really know said standard.

I know the feel. To be fair, Sadako does still get new fanart from time to time, now that werewolf girl you mentioned is really surprising, but I don't know, I'd say that unpopular/forgotten characters getting attention from at least one artist is a good thing.

Considering as the uploader has 48 uploads, all of them are the same artist, all 48 uploads of that artist are from the same user, and that user created the artist tag, that does heavily imply a self-upload. If it's the case that this is all the same person, though, there should be some sort of moderator action taken since it's obviously not abating with just passive lack of approvals.

See this forum thread for details, but basically, it's because there are complaints about people "beating them" to an upload when one person is properly tagging, while another person is just uploading and leaving the post alone. Hence, there was "top tagger" for a while, instead, and now it's just missing entirely.
I wasn't talking about this image in particular, but for example the Wendy one is pretty well done, personally I would suspect 1/3rd of the images would remain whilst the rest would be taken out for being sub-par. Atl that is my impression of the images I went through.
Oh and majority of them have only 1 approver calling for "breaking rules" so it is safe to assume it is the same approver all around for the works that is making that point.

Well, the Wendy one is filled with "I just learned how filters work" stuff like a level of chromatic aberration that makes me motion sick, and about a dozen lens flares. Even without that, the anatomy isn't great, with spindly arms and overly large legs and a head the size of the torso, and the shading is just average. Maybe with a year or two of working at it, the artist will be good, but they're still not quite there, yet.
And yes, with one approver hitting "breaking rules", it implies that approver thinks it's all the artist self-uploading but not actually tagging it as such, but many of the posts also had a "poor quality", which implies there was a second strong dissent, and it's also not like that "breaks rules" approver would be the first to see these posts every time, or that approvers necessarily listen to each other. If it's just one approver being contrarian, someone would have overridden them at least once.
