But it seems slightly awkward to me. I keep thinking of nightmares from PUBG. Shakugan no Shana fans know what pan is due to her favorite food, but as a general translation I think "bread" is better. I'm not a translator though so take it for what it is.
personally I think "bread" is better or if you want some distinction, use "pastries", because "pan" isn't English for bread. A person might mistake it for "pancake" or something.
I second the use of "bread" just because "pan" is Spanish for bread, not French (which bread is "pain"). Dunkerque is French, so her using Spanish doesn't make sense.
Sorry about that. I heard so many times "pan" in japanese that I forgot the correct word in english (the same kind of thing happen when I stay more than a month in an english country to the point I even forgot some words in my french mother tongue while I know the word in english).
Seems like Victorious is still following the line from the previous strip.
The bread looks delicious, Onee-san.
I suppose it must be full of calories?I made a lot of bread...
If it's all right with you, would you like some?In that case, I apologize,
she can't have any.I do want some...Ah, come to think,

Won't you have some?
If it's not right now, you're going to regret it.My, thank you.#I know about my sister more than anyone else
