Worth taking the time, this is pretty good so far. Thank you for your efforts.
I don't understand the logic of what they're arguing at all. "Taught her something valuable"? What was that then? Was Koume and her crew actually in real danger of drowning? What does Koume mean by her "remaining behind" (thanks to Miho)?

That the welfare of others is more important than winning. Miho has displayed this trait constantly throughout the series. This is her style of tankery, as opposed to the tankery of the Nishizumi-style and Kuromorimine where nothing is more important than winning. NOTHING.
Was Koume and her crew actually in real danger of drowning?
By all accounts yes they were. Koume certainly believes so, as you can tell by the top panel on post #3830860. That's her imagined hand floating in the depths, a very common form of imagery used to convey the implication of someone having drowned.
Other people including artists also believe the same, and you can see another example of this in post #2568408 where it was imagined that Miho DID NOT rescue Koume.
What does Koume mean by her "remaining behind" (thanks to Miho)?
Because of Miho's courageous act of rescuing Koume but therefore costing the Kuromorimine the match, Koume feels like if she left Kuromorimine that Miho's sacrifice would have been all in vain. Also, the courage that Miho displayed at that time in the face of adversity gives Koume the courage to remain behind despite all of the adversity that she faces.
Such stubbornness...!Your mind and your body are falling apart...I just wanted to encourage you...*SLAM*...!!I am myself!!Who the hell says I'm chasing after that bastard!!
