Soljashy about 11 years ago The pronunciation according to katakana is a lot closer to "funny". Is "Fuuny" the official spelling (if so, I'd appreciate a link to your source)?
Chun about 11 years ago The literal meaning of the kana says "Fuani-chan", so it may have been the artist's intention. (Otherwise it would appears as フーニーちゃん)。
Soljashy about 11 years ago Well, technically that's a small ァ, which means the ファ is not read as "fua" but as "fa" in this case (which supports "Funny" rather than "Fuuny").
