Well, humans have always been supremely kickass at adapting to new, horrible situations. Besides, they're russian, that means that they kick every ass in sight, be it at drinking, swearing or sounding awesome.

Well, Fallout's always been meant to be darkly quaint.
Metro 2033 is obviously meant to be....just dark. Gotta wonder how any of those stations keep their populations up though, what with mutant attacks, raiders, the living conditions, open war with other stations...It's only been 20 years, but there should still have been a rather large drop in the population by then, unless some women are breeding stock. (In which case, I'd like to see them. :9 )

Well if you go to polis station it's another story, the basic station like the first one are under attack and fall quickly, but polis is not so easy to destroy.
