Yeah, team Underground will probably lose, due to plot. Sakuya and Remi are going to be the last fight, foreshadowed via the first couple of comics where Remilia says she wants to meet Sakuya in the finals. On that note, I really hope Orenji proves me wrong and has team Underground win.
My bet goes to Underground lose. Based on how much plot that had gone into setting them up as they are, it just kinda feel right if they lose here, as much as I don't want it to...
Strange how they seems to be winning and yet, it just doesn't look like they will. Odd, that.
Oh, Sakuya will definitely pull through. While it might be true that she could not use her ability right now, we have been shown how capable she is in submissive moves. She should be able to pull through unless the grappler was Yuugi herself.
Well, we already know that the Underground team won't lose by Orin being beaten somehow. It will be by some blunder of Yuugi which the artist will pull out of his ass.
It will be some bullshit à la "You lost, because you underestimated you opponent." or "You lost, because you wanted to win for revenge and not for fun." or something like that.
The thing is, that it will really leave a bad aftertaste when they lose since the comitee would get away with ignoring Satori's request and humiliating her. And it wasn't even a selfish request or anything. She only thought of her pet.
The artist is surely aware of it, so I wonder how he will solve the matter.

I thought the main reason the beat-down happened was because they predicted that Satori was going to use force if they didn't answer to her liking, and decided to shoot first.

Meh that is pretty common, I don't really see it as foreshadowing.
Anyway the thing I like about the Underground team winning here is that they will do it without hax while in a sense Sakuya is still using hax.
Basically they both cheated majorly off the start but only Sakuya is still using a iffy ability (since it came from "special training".

More along the lines of the interloper having the nerve to make demands. Yukari and Co. are trying to make this a controlled affair. Yuugi and Suika are wild elements that would disrupt things (win too easily). I get the feeling no matter which team wins, both will ultimately loose, or at least forced to get a replacement partner.

So, in the end, what happen to Utsuho and Tenshi? are they going to play in the tournament in the end or not?
randomness said: How she'll manage that is beyond me. Yukari isn't entered in the tournament. And the team made of her shikigami have already been beaten.
Oh please. As long as the action and drama is good, things like that don't even matter. If Yukari wants Yuugi and company out of the tournament, she should do something about it herself.
Which is why Kanako will tag with Yukari. Duh. And the reason Ran lost was because she couldn't handle the power she was recieveing from Yukari. If it were Yukari herself, things might have been a little different.
Y'know, the way he's set up both teams, I wouldn't be surprised if he has another vote pool asking the fans who should win. That way no matter who wins he can just pin it on popularity rather than his own choices/preferences.
Sakuya & Suika outpopularize Orin & Yuugi more than 3:1 (77-23), according to the 7th Poll. The one that Sanae won was at least rather even, combined participant popularity being about 11:9 (56-44) in her & Suwako's favor. A popularity contest there has enough margin for error for Scarlet 200% to actually win the contest (barely, but still present).
If that happens here, it'll be a blowout win for Sakuya & Suika! Therefore, if Orenji comes to that conclusion, he should just go with Sakuya & Suika winning because that's what will happen by a long shot. I'm sure he/she knows that, though.

I doubt they will. There is no real story if Sakuya wins.
At least with team underground you can have them going from cheating to playing fair and still winning. In the end it would make for a much more interesting story considering how much Yukari and Co. want them gone.
Making a match be determined by fan vote/a popularity contest is just asking for trouble and backlash from particular camps and using that format from here on out will just give you some combination of Reimu vs Sanae vs Marisa in the end, which has been 9001 times at this point already.
Not to mention that a lot of reason for Sakuya and Suika to advance was lost before this match even started. But as one of the comments on the comic a few pages ago said, Jelly has shown that he's not above doing absolutely stupid things in regards to the story of this comic. After all Sanae and Suwako are still in this and I wouldn't be surprised if Sakuya got one up on Yuugi.
Steak said: I wouldn't want Yuugi to lose because people don't appreciate her as much as I do.
Goodness knows I appreciate Yuugi, and I actually like her way more than Suika. Orin's been winning me over with her constant pantyshots as well. That said, it'll still be painful if all of my favorites keep get eliminated in their first match..
Byakugan01 said: Please. Remember Eirin's setup? When Sanae comes out, she will be the Faith Rider. Tournament's over, we can all go home.
Don't even joke about that.

Yeah.... it's very irritation considering how two favorite teams were removed by the same team. (Sanae Yamamato herself to be exact).

I'm not sure what the Yamamato is supposedly a reference to (I assume an anime), though I should be able to figure out the connection to it in the context of this comic when I do.

Any help?

The titular girl, Yohko Yamamoto, has the same talent as Sanae with pulling miracles out of nowhere and winning against overwhelming odds consistently.
I mispelled Yamato as in Kira Yamato (always finds a way to win, though Sanae seems more akin to Early SEED Kira who didn't flawlessly win things), though Skribuous' explaination also works.
