PLAY TOUHOUUh-huhHey, hey, Koakuma-chan, just now I was playing PokemonAnd I really like Beedrill, so I was doing my best and trying to bring him up right, but...What do you think I should do, Koakuma-chan?To explain, I caught a Weedle with good Attack and Speed IVs, and I put it in the Daycare with an Everstone so I could get a baby Adamant Weedle.
First I made sure its EVs were Attack 252, Speed 252, and Special Defense 8, decided on X-Scissor, Poison Jab, Protect, and U-Turn for its moves, so I had a small trial, me and my opponent's Pokemon, no hold items simulation.
I tried fighting Celebi, and that onion bastard, despite being Grass/Psychic, had a base 100 in all stats and was too strong to beat in one hit. It was slower so long as it had no Speed invested EVs, so I took the first attack, but its follow-up attack of Psychic took down my Beedrill in one hit.
So afterwards I thought about it, and I thought that if I took the first move, used X-Scissor, whose type does x4 damage to Celebi, and that takes away about half its HP, and then it attacks with Psychic, what if I used a Focus Sash and still had 1 HP left?
And then Swarm would activate and Beedril's X-Scissor would get a x1.5 power boost, so there must be a way for me to win I thought. But then I thought that if it had a priority attack or an added damage move like Sandstorm was in effect it would be all over for me, so I was troubled.
Then I thought, if I get a Beedrill with IVs for surviving Special attacks, and raise its Special Defense and HP EVs and even get a nature that raises Special Defense, I could win. So I tried and it just barely survived against a moderate IV Spoon holding Alakazam's Psychic, so I figured I could probably survive against that onion bastard's Psychic. After-all, its base power in Special Attack is lower than Alakazam's, and if I take a few points from Beedril's HP EVs and put them into Speed, then, going on my guess that Celebi's EVs aren't in Speed, then I even have the ability to move first, so then I have more options for hold items, like using the Choice Band to improve my Attack.
I haven't simulated this yet, but I thought if I did this, on the first turn I use X-Scissor, then Celebi uses Psychic, which I survive, then Swarm activates and on the second turn I use X-Scissor again to defeat Celebi, after which it will likely do good damage to the next Pokemon and be able to return.
Then I began to think that while it would require a Focus Sash and some prediction, a Endure and Endeaver combo would be certain to work, and maybe be more useful to the later Pokemon, but then Beedrill wouldn't be the one to win. And I just want to burst the bubble of that Legendary Onion Bastard.
