if it shoots 5.56 it's an assault rifle. if it shoots 7.62 it's a battle rifle. if it shoots pistol rounds it's a submachine gun, machine pistol, or pistol.

Well okay I don't mind being proven wrong on that. Have to admit though that it is pretty easy to mix up over an Assault Rifle and a Battle Rifle. Just for the fact they both still shoot a rifle round either way.

Quite different tiers of rifle round; assault rifles are defined as being selective fire and chambered in an intermediate-power rifle round, as in 5.56 x 45 mm; battle rifles are defined as firing a full-powered rifle round, where 7.62 x 51 mm qualifies neatly.

No way, that's certainly a 7.62x51 mag. And the proportions aren't off by much. The G3 is roughly 1m long, which means Chen would be somewhere in the 180-200cm range here. That's rather tall, but not impossible.

I would estimate she's a bit shorter, actually, perhaps 10%-15%. The rifle is held at an angle, so it's longer than it appears, relatively speaking. Chen is crouching, but it doesn't affect her apparent height much as I can see it. I'd say she seems to be about 160 cm, give or take.
