henmere almost 9 years ago Following the end of the WWII, the Chi-Ha made another appearance during the Chinese Civil War, where it was used in combat by both the National Revolutionary Army (NRA) and the People's Liberation Army (PLA). A late model Chi-Ha, thought to be the first tank used by the PLA, is on display at the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution in Beijing. At the hands of "War Hero" tank operator 董来扶 (Dong Laifu), this battered machine secured a number of military victories for the PLA, and was referred to as 功臣号 (Gong Chen Hao), the "Meritorious Retainer." (However, apparently some of the tales of its exploits are surely exaggerated.) There is also a replica of the tank at the Liaoshen Campaign Memorial in Jinzhou, China.
