Exactly how I feel. Sorry Megaman... Capcom has burned itself in their own stupidity and decided not to release a anticipated game of a fan favorite series.
Mega you have to let Dr. Wily do whatever he wants.
X they are taking you out of command and letting Mavericks rule.
Volnutt sorry that Capcom doesn't want you back with Roll
Hub they are jacking you out and shutting you down.
Zero your future will disappear to the past.
All future armors will rusted and become obsolete.
Geo it's time to stop and become a school boy.
Just what have they been fighting for Capcom? Generation after generation they were your trusted blue bombers. Capcom... you've gone Maverick
I agree with the sentiments utterly... but is that a symbolic treehouse to represent that they're abandoning Capcom, or is the picture saying that Capcom is so incompetent and idiotic at this point that their corporate headquarters is in a treehouse?
As well as Mega Man Universe, which was gonna be a huge collaboration game with different controllable characters, such as Arthur from G&G, and Ryu from SF.
Two cancelled Mega Man games in one year... What is Capcom playing at?!

Seeing how it's more expensive to make a game for a HD console, I somehow doubt that.
@Farran: They would never respond to negative outcry unless it was for a product already released. Also, shouldn't it be Street Fighter & Resident Evil Co.?
In fact I was so excited I dug up my playstation and was playing through each game. Legends 1,2 and Tron Bonne. And then Capcom goes and cancel Legends 3 and raeps my hopes and dreams.
Well at least now I dont have to buy a 3DS. There's something I guess.
There's only one thing that bothers me. They revealed the game, they spent time and money developing the game to a point where they announced a demo, and have in-game footage (granted, beta, but still), they have all that user input, and out of the blue, they cancel it. They said it didn't meet certain criteria in some way, but why would they put all that time and money into something that ends up getting canned? Surely a flop with some revenue coming in is better than a costly cancellation.
Maybe it's denial, but I don't think this is the last we've heard of MML3.

To me it all comes down to the 3DS being a piece of junk and everyone realizing that it was a piece of junk.
This isn't the only Megaman game they've axed of late, though. And seriously, how many years has it been since ZX Advent, the last new non-8-bit game, when the series used to be known for one every year and a half or so, if not more frequent? Face it, Rock is dead to them.

Ruining the series? Its the third game in the series after a 11 year hiatus. I'm pretty sure the fan base is willing to accept the fact that they modernized it just a little bit.

Resident Evil 5. Emo Dante.
Capcom are entirely willing, eager even, to release mediocre cash-in sequels; They simply no longer consider Megaman a cash-cow. I fully expect them to toss out a new version of Street Fighter in the next couple of months, though.
"Obviously" Keiji Inafune went to a fortune teller and learned Capcom was going to die. So he got out while the going is still good. And then next year, Keiji Inafune will actually start his own video game company and his game company's mascot will be Megaman.

Remember folks, it's OUR fault that they didn't release MML3.
Jesus fuckin' Christ!!!
That's bull. I'm a lifetime fan of Megaman and would give all my money JUST for the data they did on the game. Them cancelling this project is pretty much the same as stabbing me and my childhood in the heart. Goddamnit Capcom, what happened?
