Takeshi in the anime
Satoshi and Kasumi's first male companion in the anime.
Having left his position as Gym Leader in his debut episode, he is an aspiring Pokémon Breeder and Doctor instead. He is unconditionally attracted to beautiful women, but his advances fail as Kasumi, Masato or Croagunk interfer.
Takeshi is among the longest-running main characters in the anime, having been present in nearly every episode between his debut in the fifth episode of the classic series and the last episode of the DP series.
