Should we have a toned_[gender] tag?

Posted under Tags

Currently, there are 108 pages of toned and the images are all predominantly of toned female figures. However, there are quite a few posts that are either male focused (six pages in toned ~1boy ~multiple_boys -1girl -multiple_girls), or feature a woman with a toned man (eg: post #2091266, post #2107478, post #2317524).

We currently have a muscular_female tag as a separate tag from muscle as to differentiate male and female muscular figures. Should there be an equivalent for the toned tag? I understand that the reasoning for the muscular_female tag was from a pool that was turned into a tag, but even if that situation was different, I think there's enough precedent to warrant something like a toned_female tag.

Moreover, I believe there needs to be a clean up of what we're going to consider a muscular male figure vs a toned male figure, as currently everything from post #2091266 (boyish) to post #1802755 (basically a body builder) are all tagged as toned.

Full disclosure: I'm more interested in the creation of a toned_female tag than a toned_male tag.

I have no real objections, but as a practical matter I think it would be less work to tag toned males then use toned -toned_male to find toned females. Usually we tag the exception rather than the common case.

Toned vs muscle does need a cleanup and if you want to be the one to volunteer, I'd say go ahead. Maybe put things in a favgroup first before retagging them, that way we can see what you propose moving.

I've gone through the toned tag for all of the tagged boys and all of the toned pictures that weren't tagged for boys or girls. Not sure how to go through the pics with girls tagged that left out guys.

Might try a toned vs muscle clean up in the future.
