Just to clarify: post #1513 and post #1348280 are both not solo but single_character_focus now, right?

The former definitely is, as you can see the body of another person.
I think the latter is too, but I'm not sure.
So far I've avoided changing solo on images like those.
Hm. Come to think about it, if we introduce the focus tag, maybe we should expand the multiple_views tag as well?
Is the multiple views tag a new thing? I just noticed we have a tag called various_positions that seems to be used for the same purpose.

Neither one is well-populated. It looks like DakuTree is the only one really using multiple_views.
So, does anyone have any objections to moving single_character_focus to solo_focus?
If so, is there a better name we can use that's about as short?
I prefer solo_focus, if only for the shorter length.
Same here. Easier to type out.
I've moved single_character_focus to solo_focus.
Yo, one more question, about animalisation this time. Do posts like post #595901 need a gender tag?

Gender tags are for humanoid characters, not animals.

And what about Pokemon like post #1149824 ?

Most Pokemon wouldn't get gender tags, but a humanoid one like Gardevoir is a bit tricky.
My opinion is that it should only get a gender tag if you can clearly tell it actually has a gender just by looking, such as in post #1300425.
If you can't tell the gender, such as in post #1149824, then it doesn't get gender tags.

Bump
solo_focus is now an established tag at 4.9k posts, but still heavily underused compared to solo.
Using some google cache - solo_focus grows about 81 posts a day, solo gains 2,200 a day.
I'd change the solo wiki now, changing "The following conditions can also warrant use of..." into something like "for ... use the solo_focus tag".
A few questions:
As well as mass tagging of floating penises/random faceless in rating:e -->
petting (mostly petting solo)
chartags:1 sex
faceless rating:e
hetero 1boy solo
1girl 1boy solo
alice_margatroid solo chartags:2
Lucky, the majority of solo (well, the "-rating:e" part is correctly tagged) thus the definition for solo/solo_focus could include something about the rating

That's not because solo_focus is not used, it's me. I'm tagging all chartags:1 images with solo at the moment.

single character with a few animals
I had the same question about pokemons, but nobody answered. I suggest that it will still be solo. And concerning the other cases, too.
As to konpaku_youmu_(ghost) - oh come on, hitodama doesn't count.
petting (mostly petting solo) - this is surely solo_focus
chartags:1 sex this is all to be put under solo_focus except magic_penis and invisible_penis as far as I understand we have decided when the solo_focus tag was created.
hetero 1boy solo - don't know, I am going to look at it now.
1girl 1boy solo - I was the one who probably made a mess - well, as well as those who tag half-body-random-guys with 1boy. We are currently discussing it in topic #9341.
petting solo, hetero 1boy solo,
1girl 1boy solo all cleared up. What's wrong about faceless rating:e ?
I've updated the solo wiki to point to solo focus.

- Once the wiki change goes through, what would be the new limit of "solo" - shadow? tip of a shoe? people in the background as small as dots?
I would say that you must be able to tell that they are people (or humanoids, at least) to use solo_focus.
So if the 'dots' in the background are distinctly people, then use solo_focus; if they're just dots, use solo. If the tip of the shoe obviously belongs to a person wearing it, use solo_focus; if it might be a random object lying around, use solo.
Personally, I think this worked much better when we had only the solo tag, and I don't even know why I would want to search specifically for solo_focus. I'd like it much more if one of them could be used as an umbrella tag (implcation) and the other as a specialization.
All the issues solo had were just moved to another tag while introducing new issues.
1 human with any amount of animals would normally be solo except if the animal is a (named?) character in the series.
konpaku_youmu_(ghost) / post #1359059 are solo. That was the point of solo to begin with, since chartags:1 is unreliable.
post #1359059 is one character just as much as tatara_kogasa karakasa_obake is.

Well, me neither. I thought it would be better just to leave those kind of images without solo and let it be (tag as *girl or *boy), but the new tag was introduced and populated before i knew it >_<
