interesting fact I just found after looking up snake wine, the snakes inside are alive and just in hibernation
I...don't think that's possible (for long time, that is.) There's 2 methods of making snake wine, based on what I've seen in some Asian market: the whole nonprocessed snake and the processed snake (I believe wiki mentioned both of them). For the first one, it's said the snake could still be alive for up to two or three months after bottling before dying from combination of oxygen deprivation and malnutrition, and for the second one they'll just be barely alive to awake from hypothermia and die promptly afterwards from blood loss anyway.
