That's the intention. Log was talking about making an important threads sticky to replace all the other stickies in the translation request thread so I went ahead and made one. Just waiting on jxh to see it.

That's fine. I'll unsticky the rest unless any are deemed critical enough to deserve their own sticky as well.

My main concern is that some of the *really* high traffic ones probably deserve their own sticky, because having to funnel through this thread each time they drop off the top few posts is an extra click and page load for everyone. Primarily the deletion appeal thread.

Here was my list that I didn't get around to posting thinking that rules and why can't I see loli/shota say stickied, those two staying stuck so people coming to the forum for the first time go "hey maybe I should read these threads that are stickied."

Change log (ongoing): forum #21838

e: everything but ^that^ is already/now in the OP.

The *really* high traffic ones tend to be on the first page anyway, though, so they arguably don't need a sticky that much. And now we can see more threads on the first page, so that alleviates the need for stickies even more (in general, anyway).

Could we add a third sticky that only contains FAQ-related issues rather than having a separate thread for each?

Too bad that we cannot get a "last" button for large thread here.

Hm, yeah good point. It's only one extra click but that can be a bit annoying. Sadly it doesn't look like there's any kind of url we could use that automatically takes you the current latst page. The last links on the forum index now automatically just add the most recentpage.

Evazion, I added a link to your post from a few months back on what user level has what abilities. Do you think there's any reason to believe that any significant changes have happened to it since?

Very useful thread btw, I need to bookmark it for my own reference. I can never remember what level does what.

I normally keep an eye on any site changes listed on Trac. I don't recall anything relevant changing since I made that post.

I'm just wondering if I should make a thread for people that have problems with the website, say if some parts are failing for them and so on. It might save a bit of space on the forums instead of seeing threads about Danbooru failing or something.

Opinions or would it be pointless to create the thread?

Good idea in theory, but 1) the one-off posters who make a lot of the threads would never know to look for the one&only thread and 2) these come and go in small bursts when the site is acting up, so I don't think it's a problem to let them stay individual threads. When the problems die down, the thread dies as well.

So I think we can leave it as is.

Isn't it a good idea to add a link to a post containing the list of artists who opted for their works not to be posted in Danbooru? It'll save users from some confusion if their post disappears for some reason other than 3-day-queue.

Well, this is the useful threads index, and that's part of the wiki help documentation. There are a host of important things in the documentation that that we don't link here.

The list is located in howto:upload.

Done.

Though not a forum thread, you might want to add the cheat sheet too. And stop stealing jxh2154's lines, you!
